Nice original Colt Woodsman Target (2nd Series) manufactured in 1948. The 2nd Series Woodsman are the most desirable and feature the magazine catch on the frame behind the trigger like a 1911, instead of on the heel of the grip behind the magazine's floorplate. These 2nd Model Woodsman's were only made for 8 years between 1947 and 1955 and are considered one of the best models that Colt produced in this line. This pistol is 100% all-original with a minty bore and approximately 70% of the original factory blue finish with balance an even patina. The metal is smooth with zero pitting, just honest wear. The pistol is in excellent mechanical condition, and it has the proper 2nd Model factory magazine which are quite sought-after. These Target Model Woodsman's are one of the finest and most accurate automatic .22 pistols ever made, and continue to be great investments year after year. This Woodsman would be an excellent choice for a nice shooter.
