Description:
Colt Lightning Small Frame Rifle in .22 Caliber. SN #27179. Mfg. in 1897. 24" octagon barrel. 13 3/8 LOP. The re-blued metal and re-finished wood are very nicely done. The bore is good for it's age. Frosted throughout with light pitting but strong rifling. Good mechanical condition. All markings are clear and visible. Top, back part of forend has been tapered to even out both sides, as the pictures show. You don't find many of these in this kind of condition. This is an antique and requires no FFL to purchase.
