Description:
Original Winchester Model 1866 cleaning rod.
3 piece set for carbine.
Removed from butt stock of very nice conditioned 1866 carbine.
Brass head diameter is 0.373”, brass head length is 0.45”.
Slotted tip section entire length is 7.87”.
Middle section entire length is 7.76”.
Brass tip section entire length is 7.9”.
Measuring from inside edge of slot to end of tip is 0.7” long.
The slotted tip has flat parallel sides and edges are rounded,
thickness remains the same to the tip.
All these measurements are important in determining originality.
All measurements using vernier caliper for accuracy.
These 3 piece cleaning rods are factory original Winchester issue on late production Henry rifles,
model 1866 and 1873 carbines.
