SALE PENDING This is a beautiful early Second Generation C-Series Colt Reproduction of the 3rd Model Dragoon Percussion Revolver in .44 Caliber. The C-Series were the only Colt reproductions assembled at the Colt Factory in Hartford, CT from 1974-78. Only 4200 were built picking up where the original Dragoon serial numbers ended back in 1860. This one is still in the original box with all the paperwork, unfired, and with unturned cylinder (no drag line between the stop notches). It has the early style brown wood-grained box which is in Very Nice shape. These Colts featured real bone color case hardened frames, loading lever and hammers with highly polished Colt Royal blued barrels and cylinder compared to later production which had the modern blue/black finish. Cylinder has an excellent recreation of the roll engraved fight scene. The grips are straight grained walnut with the proper diagonal grain lines just like the original Colts from the mid 19th Century. Serial number is in the 22,000 range and was made in 1976. If you want the best reproduction of the Colt Dragoon ever made, these early C-Series have never been surpassed in quality or attention to detail. .
