Description:
Colt SAA Frontier Six Shooter in 44-40 cal, shipped from Colt in 1889. Comes with factory letter, originally a nickel gun. Shows nearly all the nickel finish as restored to original condition. Done by Tommy Hoss. Carved Ivory grips were added by the previous owner, excellent floral design, they are over 60 years old. Outstanding fire blued screws, all lettering in excellent condition, including the tiny, original "44" mark on bottom of barrel. Has the correct black powder frame, all correct markings. A beautiffly done restoration, worthy of any Colt collection. I have been asked for a price on the gun only, without the grips. Gun only is 3750.00. 40.00 to ship.
