Mauser K 98, Coded "ar", "Borsigwalde", Dated 42, Cal 8mm, Ser. 3837 f. Awesome, a very scarce code and wonderful condition, and that is being conservative. This G.I bring back looks like it spent the entire war in a rack 500 miles from any action. The original factory blue is at least 96-97%. The only loss there is, is due to sharp edge silvering, light fading and a thin rub mark on the bolt. There are no pits, rust marks or scratches any where. All parts match This includes both barrel bands, the receiver, barrel, all the bolt parts, three parts of the rear sight, trigger guard, floor plate, safety, bolt release assembly, the wooden stock and upper hand guard. The receiver is stamped Eagle/65, ar, 42, Eagle/Swastika, on the right side with the serial number. The barrel has ans Eagle/Swastika and what appears to be an Eagle/65. The correct laminated stock is in super condition. The only flaw is a slight pressure dent about 2 1/2" long on the left side starting at the butt plate. The right side sling inlet is stamped "B" for Borsigwalde. The proper cupped butt plate is in the white and does have three small patches of surface rust which is really to be expected. The bore is sunshine bright with razor sharp rifling. There is not a drop of frost in the barrel. The gun comes with the original sight hood and cleaning rod. If there is a better Borsigwalde { ar code } out there anywhere near this price grab it...........Shipped...... $2595.
