New/unfired Auto Ordnance M1911A1 United States Air Force Commemorative, made up to celebrate the conception of the Air Force on Sept. 18, 1947. The pistol is fitted with a 5 inch barrel, faux ivory grips with very attractive United States Air Force medallions, and is blue finished with gold plated trigger, hammer, magazine release button, safety lever, slide stop, and grip screws. The left side of the slide has gold etchings with "UNITED STATES AIR FORCE COMMEMORATIVE M1911A1 "TO FLY AND TO FIGHT" inside a banner and "18 SEPT 1947" by the hammer. The gun is as new except for a couple of very minor handling marks/scuffs. Sorry, no box/case or paper-work.
