Rare George H. Ferriss of Utica NY, Patent Double Barrel Shotgun with upper tang unlocking device. 12 Gauge with Damascus Barrels. Looks to be mid-1870's production. US Patent 119,834 Granted in October 1871. Works well and seems to be a fairly well-thought-out design for a locking device. Only one I've ever seen in person. Both locks stamped G.H. Ferriss Utica NY. Bottom of action has the patent date. Early Parker Shotgun Competitor.
