Description:
Serial #83024, .45 ACP, 5" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a 1915-made pistol that has an overall mottled gray patina on the slide, with some thin freckling and surface oxidation at front and rear. The frame retains about 80-85% of a nice, reblued finish, and also has silvering along the high edges. The pistol has a later, Colt marked barrel, and does not have any “S" marked parts. The checkered double-diamond walnut grips have 15 rows of checkering between the diamonds, and have some light wear around the edges, and mild flattening to the points. The two-tone, lanyard loop magazine is not Springfield-made. This is a great looking Springfield Armory Model 1911, and would make a shooter, or restoration project. FFL or C&R
