This is a very nice, import marked rifle that retains 90-92% of the original blue finish with some mild fading at the muzzle, along the top of the barrel, and on the small parts. The receiver and matching bolt have been lightly cleaned to their original armory bright finish, with some faint tool marks visible throughout. The non-matching numbered walnut stock and handguard have minor bruises and shallow marks scattered about the original oil finish, and the Chilean cartouche on the left side of the buttstock is still fairly clear. An original leather sling on a “SIMSON" marked rear QD swivel is fitted, and an original non-matching cleaning rod is present as well. This is a very nice example of a Model 1912 Chilean Mauser, and rates very good plus condition overall.
