This is an “(eagle)/N" proofed, short barreled version of the famed Walther Olympia, and has matching numbers on the slide and frame. The metal retains 95-97% of the original blue finish with some mild silvering along the high edges and projections, as well as a few thin streaks of gray fading along some of the bearing surfaces. The original front and rear sights are still present, but no barrel weight is included (the weight never appears to have been mounted since there is virtually no finish loss in either the milled slot, or the screw holes). The one-piece checkered walnut grip is in excellent condition with only minor handling marks and some very light flattening of the points. Two correct magazines are included: one with a wood floorplate extension, and one with marbled brown resin. This is the very pistol illustrated on page 60 of "Walther Volume III 1908 - 1980" by James L. Rankin (1981), and is a great, non-import marked Walther, made just before WW2.
