Description:
This is an "Eagle N" late World War 2 production PPK made in Nazi Germany by Walther. This pistol was part of a small run of pistols that were produced with a Dural (Duraluminum) lightweight frame. This variation is much scarcer than the common steel frame guns, and no doubt was just as much a prize to the soldier whom captured it during the war as it is to collectors today. This PPK is in great shape overall and has been well cared-for, but does appear to have been carried in combat. This PPK is all-original and has over 90% of the original factory "military blue" finish on the steel parts and 95% of the black anodizing on the frame remaining. The bore in this PPK is excellent with a mirror-bright bore and no visible pitting, erosion, or imperfections. The rifling still has nice sharp lands and grooves throughout. The original factory grips are in great shape and show very little wear or warping, a very common occurance in these vintage Walther grips. All of the controls on this pistol are in perfect working order, and the action is smooth but tight to the frame when worked by hand. This PPk comes with one original 7-round magazine. If you have been looking for a nice all-original and combat-used example of this scarce Walther pistol for your collection this pistol would be a superb choice.
