Description:
Offered is a M.1898, 1903-manufactured Krag rifle. All correct and a good specimen. Very nice wood with the cartouches present and clear. The bore is clean, not dark, with one very small spot of light pitting or grunge. The lands are strong but not sharp-edged – I don’t know if this is from use or “as manufactured.” I couldn’t manage a photo. The metal is pleasant and without wear showing strong blueing mixed with a plum color; the only area of blueing wear is on the trigger guard (see photo). No case colors remain. The butt plate is a bit rough (see photo) along the bottom edges. Shipping is USPS based on your zip code (mailing weight 10 lbs.) Insurance recommended (extra). FFL or C&R required.
