This combination gun was a part of my dad’s collection. It’s in very good condition – it has minor scratches on the wood from obvious use (although my dad never fired it, to my knowledge). I couldn’t find any rust or pitting anywhere on the gun. The bore is clean and shinny. The exterior metal needs to be cleaned and polished (I didn’t do it because I wasn’t sure what to use on old metal). If you reload ammunition, my research discovered the firearm uses a .318 projectile. The shotgun takes standard 16 gauge shotgun shells.
The firearm has mounts for a scope but to my knowledge there was never a scope with it. This is by far the finest firearm I’ve ever held in my hands. I want to transfer it to someone who appreciates it for what it is. This gun has survived the time of multiple wars, World War II, Korea, Vietnam and others – most probably World War II in Germany. It was recently brought to my attention that the majority of these combination guns in America are model 30. This one has one of the lowest serial numbers that can be found on a model 31.
