Colt 1911 Navy .45 acp. Serial number 8987 falls correctly into the range for 1912 manufactured Navy issued Colt 1911's. All other markings on the slide and frame are original and match up to the Navy criteria. The barrel has been replaced. I think that all of the "little" parts are correct! All in all it is a nice example of a very early Colt 1911 Navy. About 70% overall finishes.
