Description:
This wartime holster for the Mauser HSc pistol was probably first owned by a German soldier whose initials HHH are embossed on the flap, and subsequently owned by a USGI named Cooper, who probably killed HHH, took the pistol and holster off HHH's dead body, and then wrote his own name inside the flap with a pen.  The maker's mark jhg41 is perfectly clear.  Overall, the holster is in excellent condition, the only real issue being some wear of the closing strap where it fits over the stud.  The very faint waffenamt on the closing strap is still visible, but only under the best lighting conditions -- I cannot get a photo that shows it.
