This is a Colt U.S. General Officers Pistol Model 15 MFG buy U.S. Rock Island Arsenal , Rock Island ,ILL. for US general Officers upon their commision as a Brigadier General. Its called a model 15. Only 1,004 of them were produced and are rare to find for sale. This one is well documented to have ben gived to General Emory M. Sneeden in 1974 , 1927 to 1987. This man was very well regarded . He was a US Army Lawyer. and was respected as a very nice man and very intelligent officer. This piece is 99 +% . Its in minty condition and appears to have not been fired much at all. Like new mechanically and spent its life in a drawer or box. It comes with 3 numbered matching mags as it should have. Its totally correct and all original.
