Description:
A safe queen with only light evidence of having been carried or used. No meaningful flaws, not rusted and no loss of stock finish. Factory engine turned bolt shaft still retains much of the machine marks. Light nicks and fine pitting on floor plate only. One spot on black forend tip could use touch up and the wood around the front sling swivel shows evidence of camming from the swivel impacting the finish. Comes with period correct Weaver K8 Scope shown in pics. Scope is an AO on Weaver mounts and rings. Scope is too big to fit in the specialty shipping cartons we purchase and use to ship most rifles. Buyer will have to pay an extra $ 20.00 to ship scope separately; USPS Priority Mail.
This is a classic handsome quality New Haven Ct made 1977 gun. Note we have its twin chambered in 06 (see listing for the 06 listed elsewhere on Gunsinternational) They would make a perfect pair for the discriminating hunter or collecter. The 06 is also a 1977 gun). NOTE: In the photo with both guns the 338 is the one without the sling.
