British 3-Band Enfield rifle. Possible Confederate issue. Expertly restored. Stock has a “J.C.” cartouche opposite lock and “SH” over “G3” by tang of the buttplate. The English Connection by Russ A Pritchard and JR and C.A. Huey believe these marks to be of an unidentified Confederate vendor.
