Description:
This Colt Model Frontier Six Shooter is a 6 shot single action revolver in .44-40 Cal.  It has a 4.75 inch barrel, case colored receiver and beautiful smooth antique ivory grips.  The Frontier Six Shooter was a Colt's 1873 "Model P" type revolver manufactured in .44-40 Winchester caliber instead of .45 Colt (in which configuration it was called Single Action Army) so that is was compatible with Winchester 1873 ammunition.  This was desireable so that the same ammunition could be used in both rifle and revolver.  This revolver was manufactured in 1928.  In overall very good condition it comes as is with a Historical Information letter.  See extras for a little more information on this revolver.
