This is a very nice , FRENCH Double Action & Single Action Revolver. It is marked ,"LEFAUCHEUX" on the left side of barrel in front of the cylinder. Civil War Period. It is a lso marked on the left side of frame with the serial number #259478. Has several Proof Markings. Has the unusual full top-strap on top of the round 5.5" barrel . the bore shows some dark spots of pitting from black powder. Chambers of cylinder are nice and clean. Six shot. DA & SA. Bore measures 12 mm caliber. The barrel , frame, cylinder and straps have a very nice floral design of engraving The overall metal finish is a smooth mottled brown patina . The finely checkered walnut grips are in excellent condition! The action is tight and smooth. Has a Military lanyard stud and ring. I accept USPS Money orders or Bank Cashier's Check.
