Description:
This very nice Colt 1862 Police Revolver. revolver. It has a five-shot, cylinder that is chambered for .36 caliber. Single action percussion. Has a 4.5 inch round barrel with an excellent bore. The frame, hammer and loading lever are case colored; the barrel and cylinder, are blued. The grip frame is silver plated brass; and the unitary, one piece grips are varnished walnut. The barrel is stamped "ADDRESS COL. SAML. COLT NEW-YORK U.S.A AMERICA". The frame has "COLT'S/PATENT on the left side. The cylinder is rebated and has half flutes. One of the flutes is marked,"PAT SEPT, 10th 1850". . The serial number #7938 is found on all numbered parts, including the grips! All Matching.The condition of this fine revolver very good and retains approx. 65%+ of it's original finish. I have included 20 pictures to demonstrate the condition. Serial number is #7938, manufactured in 1861, at the start of the Civil War. This is a Very nice condition Colt 1862 Police Model Revolver.. Buyer pays $20.00 shipping to lower 48 states.
