*** SOLD *** This great “between the wars” Holland No. 2 Riviera bar action sidelock ejector pigeon gun is loaded with features and cased in a leather case with maker’s label, snap caps, and oil bottle. According to the maker serial number 32,400 was made in 1933. It weighs 7lb 4oz. *** Beautifully engraved with lots of residual case coloring it has double triggers and automatic ejectors. It also has hand detachable sidelocks which are rare on an English double but valuable at the pigeon rings. *** The 29” nitro steel barrels are chambered for 2-3/4” cartridges and proofed for 1-1/4 oz shot. A strong action with hidden third fastener and gas ports. The raised solid stippled pigeon style rib is tapered from 3/8” at the breech to 7/32” at the muzzle. The right barrel is bored 0.734 with a constriction of 0.030 for Improved Modified choke. Minimum wall thickness is 0.031. The left barrel is also bored 0.734 and has a constriction of 0.039 for full choke. Minimum wall thickness is 0.031. *** Stocked in a highly figured piece of European walnut with a black leather recoil pad it has a straight hand grip and splinter forearm. Stock dimensions are 15-3/8” over a 3/4” black leather pad by 1-3/8’ by 2”. Cast off for the righthand shot. The stock has a 1” wood extension that has been professionally blended in to match the figure of the walnut. It is so well done that you do not notice it unless you are looking for it. Both the wood and metal finishes are in great condition with only a few small signs of wear. *** Pigeon guns from top tier makers in great condition do not come around very often. Great for clays and game or on the pigeon rings. Don’t let it get away. *** Buyer is responsible for all shipping, insurance, and any other related charges.
