Description:
This little Model 1904 came from the estate of a 94 year old man who used it as a boy to shoot rabbits, squirrels, and the occasional deer when he could shoot it in the head. With each deer he carved a notch on the stock (see photo). There was not enough stock available to document notches for rabbit & squirrel kills. Rifle remains in original condition with most original finish turned to patina, bore is a bit dark with some rifling present, and wood with original finish and solid. A wonderful reminder of a bye gone era when youngsters grew up differently than they do today.
