Description:
Set/Trap gun is in full working condition about 45cal rim fire. These older blacksmith made trap guns usually start out with a piece of an old gun barrel, the rest being fabricated on the forge. About 30" long. Instead of a leg hold trap this kills the quarry outright. One of this caliber used most often on wolves. Operation of the weapon was simple. Stake the weapon in the ground, Adjust the angle of the barrel repending on the game being hunted. Cock the hammer, put bait on the hook. When the animal takes the bait the the barrel dicharges usually shooting the animal in the head.
