Description:
PRICE REDUCED!  Identical to the German M1898 n/A sword bayonet, made in Germany for the Peruvian Government.  Long 20" quillback blade.  This was the first bayonet produced for use on the Gewehr 98 bolt action rifle, with its revolutionary bayonet bar mounting system. This bayonet will also mount to most other Mauser bolt-action rifles that are based on the M1898 action.  Right side ricasso marked SIMSON & Co over SUHL.  Small unidentified marks (inspection?) on rounded bottom of blade at crossguard.  Crossguard marked 11483.  National Crest of Peru on pommel.  Frog stud of scabbard marked 29510, no other markings.
Overall excellent condition; all leather and stitching on scabbard in great shape.

Payment by USPS Money Order or PayPal only.  Price includes UPS Ground shipping.

Thanks for looking.
