Scarce Harrington & Richardson 65 Modified USMC MC-58, 23" bbl, bright shiny bore, good rifling, Parkerized finish, M1 Garand style winged blade front sight - safety, Redfield micrometer adjustable rear peep sight, military style sling swivels, very nice M1 style oil-finished walnut pistol grip stock, a few light handling-storage marks, top of the receiver is stamped "USMC PROPERTY, MODEL MC-58 - H&R MODEL #65 MODIFIED - HARRINGTON & RICHARDSON, INC." with the serial number stamped under, top of the barrel near receiver is stamped === USMC PROPERTY === - HARRINGTON & RICHARDSON INC. - WORCESTER, MASS., U.S.A." with ".22 CAL. LONG RIFLE ONLY" stamped under, a small, "Eagle with Three Star" National Defense Inspection final inspection mark is stamped inside the pistol grip, and one 10 round magazine. Purchased by the U.S. Marine Corps as a .22 caliber military training rifle for the M1 Garand.
