SOLD! This Winchester pre-64 M70 (manufactured in June, 1953) now wears a Sam May Apex "Imperial" 24" (23 1/4" exposed) barrel chambered in .280 Remington with a 1-9 twist installed by King's Gunworks. Dean Wentworth (stock making instructor at Colorado School of Trades) whittled out the stock from a piece of beautiful English walnut with his signature ribbon point pattern checkering at 24 lpi. It carries a Neidner style checkered steel grip cap and butt plate.
