The Webley & Scott Model of 1912 Mark I Navy pistol in .455 Webley Auto was a Royal Navy contract pistol made between 1913 and 1919. This was the first semi-auto or self-loading pistol adopted into British Military service. The British Navy contract pistol have the serial number range of 1 to 8000. This particular example is serial number 2179 and was made in the first year of production in 1913. It is all-original, complete, and fully functional. As you can see in the pictures, the factory original blue finish still looks great and only shows minor wear in various places. The bore is in superb condition on this Mark I Navy. There is no pitting, erosion, or imperfections visible. The rifling still shows sharp lands and grooves throughout. The original grips are in great shape asa well. They show just some very minor wear and are free from any cracks, chipping, or repairs. All of the controls on this pistol are in perfect working order and it comes with one original 7-round detachable box magazine. If you have been looking for a very unique pistol to add to your collection this Webley & Scott Mark I Navy would be an excellent choice. It is very rare that we see one of these in any condition.
