Description:
Up for your consideration is a Mannlicher-Shoenauer Model 1903 chambered in 6.5x54mm. This elegant Austrian sporting rifle features a 23in bbl with deluxe checkered walnut stock with cheeckrest. This rifle features a set trigger and steel baseplate with full steel buttplate. This rifle was manufactured in 1908 and is in Very Good condition with only a few minor imperfections in the stock and no cracks or chips. The blue finish is 90% with some loss near the muzzle and on the right side of the receiver. No rust or putting on the gun anywhere, some minor blue fading on the baseplate and some patina near the front sight. The chamber is clean and in great shape with nice lock up and tight throat. The bore is excellent with deep rifling and very very minor frosting, no pits or light spots. Rear pop-up peep sight works flawlessly and is in mint condition. The gun is loaded with cartouches and proofmarks and marked Cordite and 6.5mm for the designated load the rifle shoots along with various nitro proofs that are all period correct. The butter knife bolt handle is in good condition with light edge wear and strong serrations on the backside. Bolt is period correct and all matching and in great condition with no loss of finish.
