Yataghan recurved sword bayonet for use on the 11 mm M1866 Chassepot needle-fire rifle. Bayonet and scabbard matching numbers P88258. Being a French Government bayonet, spine of blade is marked "Mre d'Armes de St. Etienne Juin 1873". Numerous small markings and numbers all over both the bayonet and scabbard, both are in excellent-plus condition -- as close to mint as you'll likely ever see.
You will receive the high-quality reproduction frog seen in the photos, as well.
