This Kimber Super America .22 Rifle is truly the Rolex or Rolls Royce of the rimfire bolt-action repeating rifle world. This is one spectacular Kimber that is in excellent like-new condition. These were the top-of-the-line rimfire rifles that Kimber made, and featured the very best fit and finish that the firm's expert gunsmiths could muster. The extreme attention to detail and extensive time spent on each rifle is immediately evident when handling this functional work of art. The ultra high gloss factory blue finish on all of the metal parts is like-new and shines like a mirror. The deluxe high grade Walnut stock is simply beautiful not only in the swirl and contrast of the figure in the wood, but also in the fitment to the action and how it was laid out, with the care taken by the stockmaker to make sure the strong straight grain was in located in the narrow wrist. The hand-cut checkering is flawless, and shows no wear or soiling from being handled or over-oiled. The bore in this Kimber is flat-mint. It is mirror-bright and the rifling has razor sharp lands and grooves. There is no pitting, leading, erosion, or imperfections visible whatsoever. The bolt is smooth but yet precise and tight when worked by hand. The bolt turns into battery perfectly with no slop. The adjustable factory trigger is amazingly good. It is currently set extremely light and breaks cleanly like a thin glass rod with just a little bit of pressure with no feeling of grit or play in it. This Super America comes with one factory 5-round box magazine and a great high quality Leupold rimfire scope mounted up on factory installed bases and Leupold rings. The factory installed bases were polished and blued to the same incredible high gloss finish as the rest of the rifle and were attached to rifle perfectly square to the action at Kimber. The scope is a discontinued model from Leupold that is very sough-after called the VX2 3-9x33 Ultralight EFR. This scope was perfectly proportioned for a rimfire rifle and features 3 to 9 variable magnification, a 33mm objective lens, adjustable focus on the objective lens, and lighter construction than the normal model of this power range to keep a rimfire rifle properly balanced. This scope is in immaculate condition like the rifle with crystal clear and bright optics and a gloss black finish. All of the adjustments work 100% like the day it left the factory. Both the objective lens focus ring and power selector ring turn smoothly and precisely, and both the windage and elevation adjustments are in perfect working order. It also comes with factory Leupold aluminum screw-in lens covers to protect the glass when stored or in transit. This scope was the perfect choice for this rifle and is guaranteed to hold zero forever with Leupold's lifetime guarantee.
