Payment Types Accepted: Visa,Master Card, Discover,Check Description: Way-back-when, when M1 Carbines were plentiful and cheap, numerous importers in the U.S. were bringing surplus WW2 carbines back into the States by the boatload. In an effort to stand out from the others and potentially attract new buyers, many of these companies started modifying these guns with different stocks, sights, muzzle devices, etc. This Blue Sky import-marked World War 2 I.B.M. M1 Carbine is one such example of this phenomenon and has been restocked with a rather nice under-folding stock with a Mini-14 style polymer pistol grip and a ventilated blued steel handguard. The I.B.M. is an A.O. marked receiver (Auto Ordnance was subcontractor) that appears to have gone thru an arsenal overall and was re-parkerized. It has a very nice bright and clean bore with no pitting and nice strong rifling. The stock it is fitted in is both well-constructed and nicely designed. It has a Walnut main body, a black polymer pistol grip, a blued metal ventilated handguard, and a metal folding buttstock with a skeltonized butt. It locks into the folded position under the forearm allowing full function of the carbine using the pistol grip, or locks folded out as a rifle by depressing both spring-loaded buttons on either side of the stock. This weapon is 100% fully functional and all of the controls are in perfect working order. This commercial variation of the famous M1 Carbine should be a real blast to play with at the range or farm, or could be restocked into a standard USGI stock set to be a nice example of the WW2 U.S. "War Baby".
