Payment Types Accepted: USPS Money Order only Description: Sawback sword bayonet for use on the 7.5 mm Schmidt-Rubin M1911 carbine and M1931 Short Rifle (K31). Excellent-plus condition throughout. These bayonets were serialized to individual rifle serial numbers. The bayonet crossguard is marked 597192 (and a Swiss Cross); the K31 rifle with this serial number was produced in 1939. Swell-point blade profile, wider near the point than at the ricasso; fullered on only the right side of the blade. The K31 rifle with M1914 Pioneer bayonet was issued to only select troops. The blade looks like it came out of Waffenfabrik Neuhausen yesterday; apart from the name, there are no other markings on the blade. The blued steel scabbard is likewise nearly flawless, and still has the leather frog attachment tab in excellent condition. The scabberd is marked with a script B near the throat and a Swiss Cross on the ball tip. According to my father's notes, this Swiss M1914 Pioneer is the first bayonet he ever bought, more than 50 years ago; the thing is damn frightening. Payment by USPS Money Order or PayPal only. Price includes UPS Ground shipping in a long box. Thanks for looking. SOLD |
