Used, collectible, PRE-BAN, Extremely rare Chinese made, GSAD (Golden State Arms Distributors, Inc.) imported pre-ban AK-47S Underfolder rifle with sling, 7.62x39mm. No bayonet or paperwork. The AK rifles GSAD imported were made by "Jing-An". Jing-An was the manufacturing arm of the Chinese Police/secret police agencies, as opposed to Norinco who was affiliated with the army. The majority of these rifles were bought up by companies in Hollywood to be used in the production of movies and have come to be referred to as “movie guns.” These guns are the most mysterious as they arrived in America about the same time as the Clayco guns, except they had less manufacturing markings. They simply state 7.62x39mm “Made in China” GSAD, in a usually faint roll stamping, that’s it, no factory codes and no exporter markings. GSAD was an early importer from Manhattan Beach, California. They began importing AKs by 1984, and it is reputed that some of their earliest guns with stamps only on the left side were those destined for the Hollywood movie houses. The GSAD guns hold a good value with collectors, and are known for being robust, solid and with deep bluing. This rifle is in excellent condition. Minor scratches to rifle and wood, see photos especially where underfolder has scratched the underside of the wood. Wood is oiled and not varnished. This is 100% serial numbers matching with a bright and shiny bore. No box or papers. Comes with the original single magazine from purchase (shiny one in the photo with green plastic follower), and four more all steel magazines. Also comes with pictured, two cleaning kits. Has aftermarket period muzzle brake made by Fabian Bros. This is a PRE-1989 Ban rifle. These are highly sought after with their oiled wood and minimalist receiver markings. Shipping is a flat $45 (USPS) and is non-negotiable, as is the charge for using a credit card which incurs another 3% charge. I will also accept postal money orders or bank cashier's checks.
