Description:
**SOLD**Browning Superposed 12ga O/U shotgun, dated to the 1930's, approximately 1936. 9XXX serial #. This shotgun features fine walnut furniture with deep cut checkering, and a blued finish. The Grade I guns had no engraving, other than the Browning trade mark on the belly of the receiver. The barrels are vent ribbed, and choked Improved Modified (over) and Improved Cylinder (under), and 14.5" LOP. The shotgun is in good working order with great, brilliant bores, the firing pins are in good shape, and the ejectors operate as they should. The shotgun has areas of wear, small blemishes, and light pitting in areas, particularly on the ejectors and surrounding areas, as seen in the photos. Despite the light pitting and wear, the shotgun is still serviceable and operable. The shotgun includes its original leatherette case, which is in somewhat poor condition, with a torn leather strap inside, with areas of tearing and other loss and damage. The case is still solid and holds the shotgun securely, and is likely restorable. This shotgun is a fine collectors item, and likely a great shooter, with potential to be a superb restoration project for a skilled gunsmith. Please refer to the photos to further assess the condition of the shotgun. **SOLD**
