Manufactured in 1953, this rifle is in excellent condition. I inherited it from my uncle and cannot attest to it being original, however 100% of the blue is present, all barrel markings are crisp. The gun looks like new. The bore is clean with sharp rifling. The wood is perfect with what is apparently an oil finish and an original Marlin butt plate. My uncle never hunted however he loved to shoot at the range and was a range master in the 1960's.
The hammer spur has been offset to accommodate the Weaver J4 scope with Weaver detachable 3/4” rings. A removable trigger shoe is attached. The base of a Lyman 66MB peep sight without the actual sight is attached to the frame. The front sight hood is missing.
