Description:
Gallager Carbine made by Richardson & Overman, Philadelphia, PA. These are considered a secondary military longarm and they saw a great deal of use in the Civil War. Of the 17,728 that were made over 12,000 were percussion. This carbine is one of the “final” models made in 1865 and chambered for the Spencer 56-52 cartridge. The gun is antique good to very good, the mechanics are excellent and the bore is bright, some pitting, but very shootable.
