Smith & Wesson model 1917 postwar-transitional. Commercial model .45acp. 5 1/2in barrel, blued, checkered walnut grips numbered to gun. S&W trademark on the sideplate, with lanyard ring. Fewer then 1000 commercial units were produced. Some were produced without the S prefix as is this one. With letter. Shipped June 26,1946 to Bend Hardware Co. Bend Oregon.. Very nice blue finish.There are 2 rub marks on the sideplate, some slight barrel ware and cyclinder drag. Grips show very little ware. Please inspect photos carefully and ask questions or requwst additional photos if necessary. 3 dau inspection with buyer paying return postage. USPS MO or cashiers check. Will ship to your FFl after funds clear.
