Description:
Up for your consideration is a beautiful BNZ 44 Mauser manufactured in 1944 by Steyr-Daimler-Puch. This particular Mauser seems to have survived the war, and the years since very well. All Proofs and serial numbers are crisp and distinct. This is an all matching gun, from all small parts to bolt, stock etc. The finish is excellent with only slight wear on the muzzle and on the baseplate of the magazine. The wood is flawless, in its original uncleaned condition with no cracks or dings. The finish is excellent with only the previously mentioned issues, no rust and slight patina on the trigger guard. The original cleaning rod is in mint condition in sits perfectly in place, the front sight is untouched and the factory sights hood still remains with little to no wear at all. The buttplate is very good, with a very nice patina to it and matching the serial number of the gun. There are 2 small Eagle over Swastika symbols on the gun, one on the left side of the receiver, and the other on the right side of the stock. The bore and chamber are FLAWLESS! The bore looks to be near unfired condition with deep rifling grooves and bright clean walls all the way down the barrel. This K98 also comes with the original issued leather sling and serial # matched to the gun. This is am investment grade collectible firearm and would be the centerpiece for any collection let alone a WW2 or military collection.
