Description:
Rare! Early Pre War Carbine in .30 GOV'T '06. 100% original with all correct components and positively integral front ramp with factory crown on the 20" barrel. Bore is good with very strong rifling and some dullness in grooves.
Finishes are intact and unmolested, but do show some moderate wear. I would rate the rifle at around 85% or so overall with some noticable marks in wood, along with some freckling/light corrosion all along barrel, including a bit on R side receiver near S/N, with butt plate showing typical patina. The S/N is 11*** with matching bolt Mfg. in 1938. Mechanics are excellent.
While not a pristine example, this is a very early, absolutely genuine and untouched Pre War 70 Carbine, with most desirable carbonum blued receiver and rust blued barrel in very presentable condition.
