The Ruger Super Redhawk Stainless revolver was introduced in late 1987 and quickly earned a reputation for being an extremely well-made double-action revolver that was both reliable and accurate. It was offered in .44 Magnum or .454 Casull initially, with .480 Ruger added in 2001, and in either a 7.5" inch or 9.5" barrel. The Ruger Super Redhawk has integral scope bases and adjustable target-style iron sights, as well as cushioned rubber grips for taming the recoil of the magnum cartridges. This particular example was built in 2000, has a 9.5" inch barrel, and is chambered in .44 Magnum. It is lightly used but has been well-cared for, and is in excellent shape overall. The stainless steel finish has a great look to it and only shows some minor handling marks under close inspection. The adjustable rear sight is in excellent condition and both the windage and elevation are in perfect working order. The bores are in superb condition in both the barrel and cylinder. The rifling shows nice sharp lands and grooves and no visible erosion or pitting. The factory Rosewood and black rubber grips are in excellent condition, and they are nice and tight to the gun. The wood inserts are attractive and clean and free from any damage or cracks, and the rubber outers are still soft and slightly tacky for a firm grip. This Ruger Super Redhawk is in perfect working order and the action is perfectly "in time". The action and cylinder lock up tight and the trigger is quite good, breaking with a light pull with no grittiness or slop. As mentioned before, this Ruger comes with it's original factory plastic case/box with the end-label intact serial numbered to the gun, the factory gun-lock, and a set of Weaver (I think) stainless Ruger 30mm rings. If you have been looking for an all-weather .44 Magnum hunting revolver capable of taking any game in North America, this Ruger Super Redhawk would be an excellent choice.
