This Colt Government Model 0 .45 ACP pistol was bought new in 2013 and was never fired or carried. It has spent it's entire life in a safe until now. The Colt Government Model 0 is 1911 80-series pistol introduced in 1991 that is configured similar to a World War 2 vintage 1911A1. This pristine Colt 1911 comes complete with the original box serial numbered to the gun, the extra factory magazine, the owner's manual, and even the plastic bag the pistol shipped in. This is a very attractive Colt Government Model "0" and is 100% original except for the grips. It left the factory with a brushed stainless steel finish but with a blued trigger and blued sights which give the gun some nice contrast. The original grips from what we have found online were black checkered plastic. The previous owner did not like them and installed some Colt factory checkered Walnut grips with golden Rampant Colt Medallions. The original grips were lost along the way but can be found online for cheap if the new owner so chooses. The brushed stainless steel finish is in 99% "like-new" condition and is free from any scratches, scrapes, or wear. The factory blue finish on the trigger and sights is equally as pristine. The bore is in mint condition and mirror-bright. The lands and grooves in the rifling are sharp and there is no pitting or imperfections visible. The grips are in excellent condition and are free from any cracks, chips, soiling, or wear. All of the controls are in perfect working order, and the slide is nice and tight to the frame. This is an excellent example of this Colt model and would be a great addition to any firearms collection.
