Introduced in 2012, the Browning 725 Sporting over/under shotgun was one of the firm's nicest models. Offered with a 28", 30", or 32" inch set of barrels with 3" inch chambers, the 725 Sporting features a low-profile silver nitride boxlock action receiver, factory barrel porting with a vent rib and the Invector DS choke system, hammer ejectors, a gold finished "triple trigger" system, and an oil-finished deluxe checkered forearm and buttstock in Grade 3/4 Walnut with a factory installed Inflex II recoil pad. The adjustable trigger is controlled with the safety/barrel selector mounted on the top tang. An adjustable comb and a high-post vent rib barrel were offered as extra cost options. This particular example is in superb condition, has been fired a handful of times, and is fitted with both extra cost options. It comes with the original box and all of the items it shipped with including 5 choke tubes and choke tube case, factory choke wrench, extra sight inserts, 3 different triggers, and the owner's manual. This 12 gauge example was made in 2014 and has 32" inch barrels with the high-post ventilated rib as well as the factory installed adjustable comb. The gun retains 98% of the original silver nitride finish on the receiver, 98% of the gold finish on the trigger, and 99% of the factory high-gloss blue finish on the barrels and rib. The bores in both barrels are pristine, with no pitting, dents, bulges, or imperfections of any kind. The extra cost high post vent rib is perfectly mounted on the barrels and is in like-new condition. The vent rib carries a Hi-Viz fiber optic front sight and an ivory mid-bead. This gun has been used and opened so little that the barrels are still stiff and tight in the receiver. If you look at the action lever you will see it still sits way to the right of the upper tang indicating it has not been "broken in" in the slightest. The factory stock set on this Browning is beautiful. The high-grade Walnut shows lots of beautiful figure and contrasting color in the grain, particularly in the buttstock. The checkering on the forearm and pistol grip is in excellent condition and is still clean and sharp. The extra cost factory option of an adjustable comb was perfectly executed and is in perfect working order and looks great. Both the forearm and buttstock are free from any cracks, chips, or damage and appear like-new. The factory oil finish is in excellent condition and 100% intact. The Browning-installed "Inflex II" recoil pad is nice and soft, and perfectly fit to the buttstock and tight to the wood. The length of pull is currently set at 15" inches to the end of the pad but can be lengthened or shortened 1/2" inch by adjusting the trigger.
