This stainless steel Ruger Mini-14 Ranch Rifle was manufactured in 1994 and appears to have spent it's entire life in a gun safe. This example is all-original and like-new, possibly unfired since leaving the factory. The Ruger Mini-14 was designed as a scaled-down semi-auto .223 Remington version of the U.S. Military M-14 battle rifle which was chambered in .308 Winchester / 7.62 Nato. While the Mini-14 was never adopted by the U.S. Military, many police agencies around the country bought the Mini-14 in various configurations for law enforcement work and commercial sales were a success. First introduced in 1982 the "Ranch Rifle" variation of the Mini-14 incorporated integral scope bases into the receiver and an updated flip-up rear sight for ease in mounting optics on the handy little rifle. As mentioned earlier, this stainless Ranch Rifle is like-new. The stainess steel finish does not show any wear or damage and the bore is minty and pristine. The rifling shows sharp lands and grooves and no pitting, erosion, leading, or imperfections of any kind. The hardwood factory stock and plastic handguard are also like-new. The wood is free from any cracks, wear, damage, or repairs. The black plastic handguard and buttplate are in excellent condition and also free from any damage or wear. All of the controls on this rifle are in perfect working order, and the action is tight but smooth when worked by hand. If you have been looking for a collector-grade stainless Ruger Ranch Rifle to add to your collection it would be nearly impossible to upgrade from this example.
