Ship by Fedex Payment Types Accepted: USPS MO, Pay Pal Description: Papa Nambu 8X22mm pistol for sale: Production of the 1902 type A modified pistol was started in 1909. They were made by TGE and Tokyo Arsenal until 1928. When production ceased, the remaining parts were assembled by TGE and were marked with both manufacturer's markings. The total production of all Papa Nambu pistols is 8674. Dual marked pistol production was approximately 420 pistols. (Note: According to James D. Brown's Collector's Guide to Imperial Japanese Handguns, there were only an estimated 420 Papa pistols assembled by TGE on one piece Tokyo Artillery Arsenal frames with the Tokyo Artillery symbol.) All the parts are matching except the Magazine (6 digits lower) and the bolt/striker spring guide (14 digits lower). The pistol does not appear to be re-blued. The bluing is turning a light silver color. There is some light pitting in the finish. The pistol is fully functioning but I have not fired it. The trigger has some straw colors on it. The grip has a small chip (1/8"). The bore is bright and of Metford style rifling.
