GRIFFIN and HOWE: 270 Winchester. This rifle celebrates G&H at its best with a full Joesph Fugger engraving treatment which highlights a full floor plate and highly detailed whitetail scene and deep scroll on a just-post-war, Model 70 action. The rifle has all its original finish (It looks un-used) plus, a really lovely stock with a beautiful sweeping pistol grip stock and a double mullioned cheek piece. The fore-end tip is horn and the buttplate is from a Mdl 70. The rear sight treatment is very European and one that I haven’t seen before. The stock is 14” LOP and it weighs 9 lbs 8 oz with its original steel Unertl 4X scope which has still-sharp optics. The price is $7,950 and is firm.
