Description:
Never saw one like this but it sure looks akin to something by Steyr or Mannlicher Schoenauer, but no rotary magazine - rather a single column inner magazine loaded from the top like many sporting rifles. Perhaps something made in Austria or Germany in a gunsmithing guild. Very nicely done and with a very good to excellent bore in a popular European caliber, 7x57R. All the typical Steyr features and with nicely done 2 position rear sight and ramp front bead, trap buttplate covering 3 holes for cartridges, mannlicher type bolt handle, double set triggers, etc. All in very good condition and perfect working order with the exception of a small chip directly behind the top tang (no crack just a 1/2 inch chip missing) which could easily be repaired. We find no markings or proofs on the rifle (we have not dismounted it from the stock), and a serial number of 3058. Does not appear to have been refinished in any manner. Weight is just a bit under 7 lbs. Condition as per photos. Feel free to give us a call with any questions you may have.
