This rifle was made at the Kokura Arsenal. It is chambered for the Japanese 7.7 service round. The rifle's serial number is 36813. The bolt is also serial numbered with the last three numbers of the gun's serial number. The bolt safety knob is also serial numbered to the rifle. The dust cover is unserial numbered as well as most of the rifle's other parts. The bore is in fine condition. The rifle retains most of the original bluing. The bluing would rate a 98% overall condition. The cleaning rod is intact with no damage. The monopod locks up tight. The dust cover is snug on it's rails and does not bind the bolt. The stock retains it's original finish. There is no grinding of the reciever to remove the "MUM" The lettering is sharp and clear. This is a far better than average Japanese service rifle! This rifle certainly falls into the collector grade listing for collectors! This rifle will certainly look great in a military collection! Search for hlvfineguns on google for more details.
