Colt 1911 early manufacture US Govt .45 cal pistol all correct including JM proofed barrel. This pistol retains about 80% of a slightly weathered original finish. Manufactured 1918. Barrel has good riflings and grooves with minimal frosting.
Comes with leather US marked correct holster. Holster with belt attachments has some cracking and generally in good shape.
Provenance:
Perhaps has interesting history as indicated by the five notches on the left grip.
Comes with Colt Archives Letter of Authenticity stating original delivery to Commanding Officer, Springfield Armory, Springfield, MA March 12, 1918.
